1. Prepare the Dough

For cooking on the stovetop, use a cast-iron skillet or a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Place the rolled-out bread on the hot pan, flipping it once it's puffy and golden brown. Cook both sides, brushing with melted ghee or butter if desired.

For roti, place the rolled dough on a hot skillet, cooking each side for around 1-2 minutes until lightly browned. You can press the sides gently with a clean kitchen towel or spatula to encourage puffing.

As you cook multiple pieces, keep the finished breads warm by wrapping them in a clean kitchen towel or placing them in a covered container. This helps maintain their softness.
