Masala Aloo Paratha Recipe
Ingredients: - 2 cups whole wheat flour - 4 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed - 1 onion, finely chopped - 2 green chilies, finely chopped - 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste - 1/2 tsp cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp turmeric powder - 1 tsp red chili powder - 1 tsp garam masala - 1 tsp coriander powder - Salt to taste - Fresh coriander leaves, chopped - Ghee or oil for cooking
Instructions: 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour with water and knead it into a smooth dough. Cover the dough and let it rest for 15-20 minutes. 2. In a separate bowl, mix the mashed potatoes with chopped onions, green chilies, ginger-garlic paste, cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, salt, and fresh coriander leaves. Mix well to form a uniform filling. 3. Divide the dough into equal-sized balls. Roll out each ball into a small circle and place a portion of the potato mixture in the center. 4. Bring the edges of the dough together to cover the filling. Gently flatten the stuffed ball and dust it with flour before rolling it out into a paratha. 5. Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat. Place the rolled out paratha on the heated tawa and cook until golden brown spots appear on both sides, flipping as needed. 6. Apply ghee or oil on both sides of the paratha while cooking to make it crispy and flavorful. 7. Once cooked, remove the Masala Aloo Paratha from the tawa and serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or any chutney of your choice.
