Cheese Paratha Recipe

Cheese Paratha Recipe

Introduction: Cheese paratha is a delightful variation of the traditional Indian flatbread, filled with gooey cheese that oozes out with each bite. This fusion dish combines the flavors of cheese with a classic paratha, creating a deliciously satisfying meal or snack. It is not only easy to make but also a favorite among both kids and adults.

Ingredients: - 1 cup whole wheat flour - Water, as needed - Salt, to taste - 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or your choice) - 1/2 tsp red chili powder - 1/2 tsp cumin powder - 1/2 tsp garam masala - Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped - Ghee or oil, for cooking

Instructions:

1. In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, salt, and water to make a soft dough. Knead the dough well and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.

2. In another bowl, mix the shredded cheese, red chili powder, cumin powder, garam masala, and chopped coriander leaves to create the cheese filling.

3. Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and roll out each ball into a small circle, dusting with flour as needed.

4. Place a generous amount of the cheese filling in the center of a rolled-out dough circle. Bring the edges together and pinch to seal the filling inside.

5. Gently roll out the stuffed dough ball into a larger circle, being careful not to let the cheese filling spill out.

6. Heat a flat pan or tawa over medium heat and place the rolled-out paratha on it. Cook for a minute or until bubbles start to form.

7. Spread ghee or oil on the top side of the paratha, then flip it over and cook the other side until golden brown and crispy.

8. Repeat the same process for the remaining dough balls to make more cheese parathas.

9. Once cooked, remove the cheese parathas from the pan and serve hot with a side of raita, pickle, or any dip of your choice.

Enjoy the delicious and cheesy goodness of these homemade cheese parathas as a standalone snack or as a side dish with your favorite curry. The perfect blend of cheese and spices makes this recipe a sure hit with your family and friends.
