How to Make Traditional Indian Paneer Dishes

Instructions:

  1. Cut the paneer into cubes and marinate it with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and tikka masala. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cut the bell peppers and onions into chunks.
  3. Thread the marinated paneer and vegetables onto skewers.
  4. Grill on a barbecue or inside an oven until golden brown, approximately 15-20 minutes.

2. Palak Paneer

Palak Paneer is a nutritious and flavorful dish made with spinach and paneer.

Ingredients: 200 grams of spinach, 150 grams of paneer, 1 onion, 1-2 green chilies, 1 tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste, and spices.

  1. Blanch the spinach leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then immediately transfer them to cold water. This helps retain the vibrant green color.
  2. Blend the blanched spinach into a smooth puree.
  3. In a pan, heat oil and sauté chopped onions until golden brown. Add green chilies and ginger-garlic paste and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add the spinach puree and let it simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and spices, such as cumin and garam masala.
  5. Finally, add cubed paneer to the spinach gravy and cook for another 5 minutes.

Serve hot with naan or rice for an authentic experience.

3. Paneer Butter Masala

This rich and creamy dish is a favorite among paneer lovers.

Ingredients: 250 grams of paneer, 1 cup of tomato puree, 1 onion, 2-3 tablespoons of butter, cream, and spices.

Instructions:

  1. In a pan, melt butter and sauté finely chopped onions until translucent.
  2. Add tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  3. Mix in spices such as red chili powder, turmeric, and garam masala.
  4. Add cubed paneer and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  5. Finish with a swirl of cream for richness.

4. Paneer Bhurji

Paneer Bhurji is a quick and easy dish that can be made in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients: 200 grams of crumbled paneer, 1 onion, 1 tomato, green chilies, and spices.

Instructions:

  1. In a pan, heat some oil and sauté chopped onions until they become golden.
  2. Add diced tomatoes and green chilies, cooking until the tomatoes soften.
  3. Stir in the crumbled paneer and season with salt, turmeric, and garam masala.
  4. Cook for a few more minutes until everything is well combined.

Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with bread, making it a perfect dish for breakfast or a light meal.
