1. Chapati

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Water (as required)
  • Ghee or oil (for frying)

Instructions for Plain Paratha:

  1. Mix the whole wheat flour and salt in a bowl. Gradually add water to form a soft dough.
  2. Allow the dough to rest for 30 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.

  6. Heat ghee in a skillet and cook the paratha until golden brown on both sides.

For stuffed parathas, prepare your desired filling (like mashed potatoes mixed with spices) and place it in the center of the rolled-out dough before folding and rolling again as described above.

3. Bhakri

Bhakri is a rustic flatbread made from coarse whole wheat flour or millet flour. Ithas a hearty texture and is often served with spicy pickles and curries.

  • 2 cups bhakri flour (whole wheat or millet)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Water (as needed)

  1. Combine the flour and salt in a bowl, adding water to form a stiff dough.

  3. Heat a tava on medium heat and place the bhakri on it. Cook until slightly brown on one side, then flip.
